You like me! Of course, you probably don't know me very well.

Stockholm, Day 10

April 16th, 2010 by biscuit

Stockholming Myself is the brainchild of the brilliant Temerity Jane. If you want to join in, she’s got a whole thing going on over there – check it out. It’s not a diet thing, it’s not a weight loss group, and it’s not NOT those things, either. It’s looking at yourself every single day until you like what you see – either through change or through acceptance. I’m in it for reasons I explain a little here.

This is actually my second take on Stockholm today. The first picture, which I posted 20 minutes or so ago, was taken by Crockett. When he took it, he said ‘you look like a chipmunk!’ because of the face I was making. I am completely and totally aware that I do NOT look like a chipmunk and that he was just teasing, but as soon as he said it I started to hatehatehate the picture.

SO. I went into the bathroom here and took a new one. I know it’s not exactly the right approach for Stockholming, but it was that or no picture at all.

Shirt, Ann Taylor Loft (shocker).

All of the new shirts I bought have complicated folding or embroidery around the neckline. I’m not sure why I believe they flatter me, since they’re sort of ‘hey look at where her boobs should be’ signals, but I like them anyway. Of course, I will have to hand wash them…. that may reduce my liking a smidge.

Those tops DO flatter you. Don’t second guess me, because I’m always right! (And modest.) I hear you on the hand-washing thing: I have a pile of tops that I’ve only worn once just waiting to be cleaned. I suppose that I should locate said pile in the mess of my room and deal with them…

I was gonna say “that shirt is adorable” but what I really mean is “YOU are adorable and the shirt just adds to the adorablness”.
Really, it’s flattering and the color complements your coloring nicely.

Actually that shirt looks really good on you.

Cute shirt, and I like that necklace. I hear you on the unreasonable dislike of a pic just because someone has made a facetious comment about it. That’s such a pain! And I’m trying to get over it, too.

(P.S. This is about the fourth time during the course of the day that I’ve tried to post this comment. So here’s hoping it finally works, and I’m not just spamming you.)
